السلام عليكم
The main problem with Rosetta is that it depends on Internet.
- Many users, especially in the Arab world don't have permanent broadband
Internet access, so it will make their involvement quite difficult.
- Editing Arabic from a web browser is very annoying. Mozilla Firefox for
example doesn't handle Bidi correctly, so you easily get everything messed
up. The new Mandriva website ( Which I am working on ) uses eZ as a CMS, when
it comes to Arabic, I very frequently copy and past the English content to
gEdit to work easily, but I use the online editor when I have to translate a
complex rich text document ( especially tables, and when there are lot of
tags ) because the editor is WYSIWYG, even though the text is aligned to the
left.
- Underorganization of the work: Acts of vandalism and unmoderated work.

As far as I am concerned, I think it will be good to use Rosetta for small
applications, and PO/CVS for well-established projects ( Gnome, KDE,
OpenOffice, Mozilla, man pages ...).
