ZEINE and Arabeyes

Salam ..
  I met today Mr. Hussein Bakri, a team leader in ZEINE. The meeting was 
mainly about him explaining what they need.. and me telling him what we do.. 
after all it seems that he got some interest in more than one thing, and he 
expressed "HIS OWN" willing to help communities such as ours, and he said 
that he will give the picture for the administration in the company.

  Now they did a spell checker for Arabic language, from what he said about 
it, it seems to be close to what we had in mind (work in defining the ROOT of 
words, and the possible variations of them, and so) .. now they need a 
dictionary for that spellchecker .. and so do we .. they are willing to help 
us in exchange of he help them with the dictionary .. he mentioned that they 
may provide us with the algorithms f thier spellchecker (as the source is 
more sensetive for them).

Another thing that ZEINE is doing is the localizaion of the Mac OS with it's 
different versions. so they did some GUI translation and documentation.. he 
also said that they may help us in this field .. He claims (and I believe 
him) that their GUI translation and documentations is really close to the 
reader, and makes use of Arabic easy, he said that they have ALL the 
translations of the GUI checked gramaticly, and NA7AWI ( with the use of 
Hamza, tah marbota, Alef Maksoura) , and other factors that cause spellig 
mistakes. I told him that We did translate around 26k strings ( yes 26,000! ) 
and that we have our own QaMoose that is designed to serve translators ( 
specialy with the new String capturing script).. They are interested in this 
as well, and may help us with improving our translation database..

Any How I will research for how we can help them, see if we can get a 
dictionary for our selves ( yes weneed a dictionary too) and try to do what 
is of benifit for Arabeyes..
