Hi,

no squares. The only problem i can see is that the aya doesn't end at the end of the line. Sometimes, when in html it does end at the line (with the number behind it) in pdf the number is at the next line and there is a small space between alphabets which should be connected. Please look at "Addallin" in the last aya in alfatiha. This is the only problem, that i can see and it doesn't seem to be much of a problem.

I am using the original pdf-Distiller from Adobe. I've seen it before, that the freeware alternatives can't create arabic well.

So please send me the font, so i can generate the whole koran and we could really get started with proof reading.. I'll be sendign you the file for the second sura (~500kb).

At this time i am creating some cds with the content of the koran for
people to proof-read. The image is about 50 mb big. It contains the
koran in html and in pdf and xml format (each in a seperate directory).
I could post a torrent to the file for everyone on this list, who wants
to help proof read.

I can assure you that this is a complex process because it involve a
complex font. My idea is we might be able to convert the PCL files to
PDF and get the correct results, but , so far only possible thru a
commercial program which I dont have. PDF is necessary because seem
like a lot of people prefer it, and thus would ease up the
verification process. If anyone would only like to print the quran
text, I can give the PCL files and you can print it directly to a PCL
printer.
