Frankly speaking there is one point which need attention. During the 
installation upon choosing the languages if you choose English as the primary 
language and Arabic as a secondary language the "Use unicode as default" 
option should be checked. I reported this bug and it's fixed in CVS for the 
next version. It's fixed so quickly that I even didn't need to bother you 
with voting ;)

Yes, there is a way. IIRC, it's Alt+F2 and it gives you a message that specify 
it would be saved in /root/snaphshot or something similar.
