installing arabic kde package pb

salam to everybody,
I'm using mandrake 90 and I have a problem installing arabic kde package
I read the howto and I did as mentionned, but without result.
after making ./configure make and make install I didn't have the arabic
choice added to the languages choice menu
I tried to install the Afrikans language, the rpm package is given within MDK CDs and installation have been done automatically by rpmdrake utility. the operation was successful and Afrikaans language was added
I noticed a problem :
when I installed the package manually the messages & Desktop.entry files have been copied to  /usr/local/kde/share/locale/ar
but when I added the Afrikans language the messages & its Desktop.entry have been copied to /usr/share/locale/af

thanks in advance for any help idea
