I would translate code as 
رمز 
as said before the word شيفرة is not arabic but stems from old french military 
and diplomatic word to designate encrypting letter exchanges.
the english equivalent is Cypher .

but it is accepted as such so i would say you can use both
شيفرة و ليس شفرة (كشفرة الحلاقة) او رمز
