Re: joining ARABEYES translation group

Hi,

I'm happy to get your answers to my request and I thank you all for your
friendly welcome.
I really hope to work and mainly to learn with you all. I'm still not a
great Arabizer, as said Ossama Khayat, but I'm working hard to GET this
benediction ;)
I used to work with ISO-8859-6 enconding as it is a recommendation of
php.net website. The experience with PHP Arabization Team was great to me
and I want to make more efforts in order to "compile" a serious "Reference
List" of what I did as a Translator. I hope what do I have to translate with
arabeyes will be an important step to me as a Professional Technical
Translator and I hope you'll advice me when I make mistakes.
For the Wordlist, I tried to download the files with Getright Dowload
Manager but as your site doesn't support resuming I prefered to wait as I
don't have a good connection type and till I get MY CVS account.
Also, By (> - making KDE arabized), I meant that I'm not used with Linux.
But finally I found your Arabic patch for KDE and now I got KDE support
Arabic language ;) mainly that I'm not a programmer or computer specialist.
I join here an attachement wich include main part of what I translated with
PHP Arabization Team so you can see if really I have the necessary profile
to join arabeyes group. The files are 8859-6 encoded, so to open them if you
don't have the necessary program, for example XMLSpy, you can open them: by
changing the extension to .txt, opening the file with Internet Explorer and
changing encoding to ISO-Arabic.

For the projects:
    > There is documentation of OpenOffice.org which need to be
translated as well.
     > I would suggest you start by translating the koffice/ module
(cvs/translate/kde/koffice)

I'll be happy to work on any project you think it's urgent to work on it.
But for the first time, I hope you'll give me a small and single file in
order to make tests on it and I will send you the result in order you make
observations on it before I continue NORMALLY with other files.

Thank you again for your friendly welcome and best regards
Hafid

(PS. I tried to send the zip files; but the mail was rejected because it
exceeded the standard 40 kb: so if someone wants the compressed file, I'll
send to his mail on request)
