The program and screenshots are now uploaded,
www.thwab.net/downloads/Othman.tar.bz2
www.thwab.net/downloads/Othman-1.png
www.thwab.net/downloads/Othman-2.png
(the application does not yes save the data because I did it as a
proof that the idea is correct)
put your audio files in something like data/recitations /alafasi
then run the application then the reciter alafasi (for example)
then click play or double click the first verse/aya
and just before the beginning of the current verse press F7
to mark verse beginning. it will automatically put the time in
seconds.millisecond
and move cursor to next verse so that when you press F7 next time it
will mark the next verse ...etc.
so you just press F7 while listening without even looking.
if you made a mistake just click PAUSE
then double click the number and edit it
|(~) is a symbol for split | before the wave ~
at any time you may click PAUSE/PLAY move to other verse ..etc.
this app is just a test.
the real application will be more effective.
(only F7 is currently implemented, other buttons are just to remember
me to implement them)
I was very busy and the admin was very demanding
"You are not doing SCHOOL work"
to Mhd Sameer, you need not be a member of UbuntuME to contribute or
just see the screen shot
I just announce it there and being so bust to upload
and I already made an application to mark the end of the verse in audio stream
and when the reciter continues reading without a stop I made another
button for it
(it's not yet implemented)
you the one who listen should listen to the previous verse
so the brower should revisit the previous verse
because sometimes this is obligatory to get the correct meaning
sometimes it's just recommended (marked with
صلى: الوصل اولى
)
> You don't need to reencode. You can always split the files (mpgsplit from the mpgtx package)
yet, verse per file is a limitation
and most people don't use that split or unaware of its existence.
they are unaware of the re-encoding problem
(like most people editing JPEG images who open it, crop it then save it)

yes, yes, we need more like you جزاك الله خيرا

yes I know and I hate that,
it's very bad design to chomp audio files by verse
the simple direct way is to have a file for each sura
and mark the verses in it so that the application would seek to it.
I'll success where others had failed
