arabic fonts

Brothers,

these are screenshots of my program gnomequran which displays Holy Quran

this

used GDK_USE_XFT=1 and  Arial font of MS Windows
which displayed correct but not perfect arabic glyphs (there are gaps
between connected glyphes) (I've tried to use Tahoma and have the same
output)

and this

used GDK_USE_XFT=0 and clearyu font
which displayed correct arabic glyphs

is there anything I miss or the GNOME support of antialiased fonts in
arabic is broken?
