that would actually be a very bad thing.

I think the proper way to do arabization is for it to be transparent to
the developers, the current system where we have to test each an every
app for Unicaode, Bidi and shaping and we have to patch each and every
app for unicode bidi and shaping is ridiculous.

I'm hoping core libraries would one day do these things for us that all
GUI apps would automatically support arabic.

the work might never end, but that should be because of new needs not
just because of new foss.

and IMO this is part of the problem, we don't have the manpower to run
after each and every little project, Arabeyes should focus on broad
strokes that make arabic support automatic.

we could for instance lobby FreeDesktop.org for something like this.
