help with. Specifically. Complaining is a waste of time.

You are talking about very detailed stuff. For example, if you are an
engineer, no one is going to teach you how to do trigonometry. You are
expected to know that. How you convert characters is up to you and I
trust you are competent enough to know how to make such a decision.

u still dont get... i dont want anyone to tell me exactly what to do, with Tutorial code to
accompany it... just send me down the right road...
i can get the ArabicShaping.txt file and declare a CONSTANT for every char in it... one for
initial, medial, etc... and write one biiiig switch statement that handles everything nicely...
anyone can do that...

BUT, is that how its already been done.? shouldnt we try to be consistent and use some
algorithm written in ANSI C that plugs into any Win or Linux program..?

to sum up... i can do it easily but, it'd come out a bit messy, so is there a standard way to do it..?
