Well the Problem is simply a lack of ppl, we arevery few and so busy
working on other projects for eg. there are only 3 ppl (if I am right)
workng on the wordlist which is a HUGE project, with only one member
working very hard on it (Mr Alrashedeen) for gnome there is only one
translator, me... So you can see we are very few that's why we can't
work on Wikipedia even i you REALLY want to...

I see it - I watched the progress of arabeyes over the last months and am still surprised how much you have accomplished, wordlist, arabeyes, quran project and everything.

My intention for writing to arabeyes is not to distract you from the programming work. It's another thing: you have the knowledge to explain to other arab people, what the arabic wikipedia is about. For example in the German wikipedia there are many people (including me) who don't know anything about programming, but see their work on building a free encyclopedia as their contribution to the open source world. And more, who don't know anything about open source, but see it as fun to write about the stuff they know about.

What you can help is telling others, explaining the concept. Why it's important that contents are free, how open source communities work, how wikis work...

p.s: es überrascht mich immer wieder wie sehr Menschen an der arabischen
Kultur interessiert sind ;)

It's not that surprising - it's unknown terrain ;-) see, arabs wrote the first encyclopdias when no one in europe even dreamt of the idea - but of course this fact is something you don't learn in european schools.
