May be you need to compile it yourself with some options. Just guessing.

It's better to download the latest version (3.11c) first and compile it
yourself. All
these kinda problems will be solved when the Linux Application Project is
completed. Till then I will be glad to help in case of problems. If you are
not in a haste give us some time and everything will be OK.
