Salam all
I have a problem with WinCVS
I have got an account, and I have configured WinCVS to work with it.
sometimes I can succefully log to the CVS at ArabEyes.org other times i
can't
I noticed that it writes down when I try to log, anoncvs at arabeyes dot org
......
I wonder why it still remember the anoncvs, although I have configured it to
run with my account username !!!!
Any hints ??

Well it is simple .. you checked out the files with the 'anoncvs' account .. so the user name is saved with the repository information .. you can change the user setting for the repository that you had already checked out doing the following :
In every folder you checked out there is a folder called "CVS" .. it contains information about the files in the repository, the user, enteries and so on.. one of the files is called : Root .. open it in a text editor, you will see that it will contain the root information, in you yo case :
:pserver:anoncvs at arabeyes dot org:/home/CVS
change the anoncvs to you username .. you have to go this in every folder in the repository, and change every 'Root' file .. for example there is CVS folder in :
\kde-i18n\CVS
\kde-i18n\kdebase\CVS
\kde-i18n\kdeaddons\CVS
and so on , and in every CVS folder there is a Root file ..
the other choice you have is to Checkout the files again with the new username.. that way it will be stored in the Root file .. you have to checkout the files again completely, deleting the previous files ..

Good Luck

Is it required to have python installed to avoid this problem ?
I am using WinCVS 1.3
