Salam alikom,
All I can tell you that its a very easy thing to do. I was
about to develop
the same type of application, but which requires internet
connection for
www.IslamPrayerTimes.com.
I
then came across brother's Nauman Khan website: www.mobilemolvee.com,
which provides
what I wanted to do but as a downloadable application.
You can try to
contact him and he might help you out.
Salam alikom,
Aziz

year project is the investigation into
and production of a "prayer and
fasting time Information Application"
program, which the user will be able to
view and set alarms to notify them
of payer time as well as time for breaking
fast. The program will be created
for the use on mobile
phones.

The project is potentially quite a large piece of work, and it is
difficult
to state categorically what will be feasible within the limited
time period
available to me. Rather than define absolutely what my
"deliverables" are, I
propose to produce a prioritised list of deliverables,
and I will attempt to
produce what is possible in the time frame of the
third year project. I hope
to treat this project, as merely the first part
of a piece of work that will,
I believe, be genuinely useful for our day to
day life and in a wide range of
situations.

living in the west is the inability to
hear the Azan (calling to pray) from
the mosque very loud so we know when to
pray. This is considered noise
pollution. Praying five times a day, it is
very hard to know when exactly to
pray as the prayer time varies everyday.
In my personal opinion being a
Muslim myself there is desperate need for
this innovation and the demand for
this is also very high.

and fasting timetable. It will be
designed especially for mobile phones; this
is because everyone now has a
mobile phone also there is demand for this
innovation. My product will be
designed as an application which can be
uploaded on a mobile phone; this
product will function in a similar way as a
Calender would on Mobile Phones.

designed so that when the user can select the present and a
future date to
view the prayer times and also activate an alarm for desired
prayer time or
all of the daily five prayers. It will also have a function
for the month of
Ramadan (opening and closing fast), which will calculate it
for each year as
it follows the lunar calendar.

Deliverables

produce a comprehensive solution to the
problem of being aware of the exact
time to pray, but in the meantime
herewith is a list of various deliverables,
with their priorities. The
minimum set of deliverables should incorporate
priorities 1 to 5, but I hope
to achieve everything else on the list (and any
thing else revealed in the
course of the project) in due
course.
