Ok! I downloaded cups-1.2 and your patch. Applied the patch.

ghostview and kghostview shows a blank page!!

The English text shows properly but the arabic text doesn't show at all at 
Gnome Ghostview 2.4.1, KGhostView: 0.20, gv 3.5.8!!!

Will you also point to me how can I test using another font such as 
courier new?
