I believe we need some a font designer/programmer expert to look in these
problems. I am sorry I can't help here either but I just want to point you to
these bugs which I think are related and should have a priority. I wonder how
can a distro have a clean/not-hacked Arabic installation interface without
solving these issues!

gc of Mandrake said the only remaining problem was not the font size but the
fact that the arabic font overided the latin font which eg looks quite weird
for french.
