Some ArabTeX issues

These are some issues which I have met across while make the rpm or testing 
ArabTeX. I am sure Prof. Lagally will jump in as usual to help:

* It's better to have something like arabtex-3.11d-.tar.bz2 on your ftp site

* I have made the rpm to copy texinput/*.sty texinput/*.fd only to 
/tex/latex/arabtex and not to /tex/arabtex
Can this affect any application in anyway?

* Where should texinput/*.clo go? and why are they useful?

*There was a subdirectory called report. Now I can't find it in the downloaded 
tgz file, why? Isn't it useful now?

* Instead of doing somehting like:
      mv arabtex/laser.pk/hcaption* texmf/fonts/pk/arabtex/hcaption/
      mv arabtex/laser.pk/hclassic* texmf/fonts/pk/arabtex/hclassic/
      mv arabtex/laser.pk/nash14* texmf/fonts/pk/arabtex/nash/
      mv arabtex/laser.pk/xnsh14* texmf/fonts/pk/arabtex/xnsh/
      mv arabtex/laser.pk/yarborn* texmf/fonts/pk/arabtex/yarborn/
I made
      mv arabtex/laser.pk/* texmf/fonts/pk/arabtex/
Please tell me if there is any reason not to do it like this.

* It's not easy nor intuitive to guess that psfonts should go to type1 folder:
      mv arabtex/psfonts/* arabcorrect/texmf/fonts/type1/arabtex/
why is this complication?

* arabtex/doc/tetex.txt contains 10kB of nothing/blanks, any secret here? ;)

* Is locales-ar a requirement for ArabTeX?

* ^ and @ doesn't show properly in ArabTeX
