salam alaikum -
hope insha'Allah all is going well with everyone.
i wrote a script to create a new arabic xml file, and when i
did, i noticed the same problems with some of the same ayahs i
had posted about earlier -- on further examination (by
installing mlterm and finally being able to read the arabic text
straight in a console), i finally saw that the arabic xml files
distributed with libquran are, Alhamdulillah, fine -- and the
"errors" i mentinoed aren't errors... but they are a problem
w/gtk... (i initially reported them as errors because when
examining them w/gnomequran i think it was or qtquran or both, i
had the same problem)...
so the two i found were :
2:282 -- the problem is its too long -- so it cuts off (i think
it cuts off at the same spot with the libqruan 0.2x arabic xml
file as it does with my generated xml file).
46:13 - this ayah is short -- it cuts off on libquran 0.2x
arabic xml but not on my arabic xml (although if you more the
arabic xml file, its fine).
so is this a problem with the way i am writing stuff in gtk? or
is it the result of a null terminator somewhere in one of those
strings that's causing this or what?
any help on this? sorry for the mistake.
walsalam alaikum,
-ahmed
