Salam,
Fribidi is good enough, there's no need to reinvent the wheel, it
would be a disservice to yourself and it would certainly not bother
anyone else but those who would have to code it again. The good news
is: it is LGPL, so who cares about what someone who contributed a
couple of lines of code to it might say? Seriously, you should have
just laughed at his suggestion. I doubt that many Arabs would feel
bound by any limitations Israelis could try to put in OSS licenses
about them, and vice-versa (do you see an Algerian in a court in
Haifa against someone who violated his prohibition to use his OSS by
an Israeli, or symmetrically, an Israeli in Khartoum sueing an Arab
over an OSS license violation?:):)) Yallah, just ignore that, it's
unnecesary noise.

Subject: A Fribidi alternative?
Hi all,
I was following the Fribidi php extension http://www.php.net/fribidi
so I thought I may need to use the opensource project
http://sourceforge.net/projects/fribidi
but it seemed to me that authors have some contempt against Arabic
countries,
or that's what I think ( eg: http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?
thread_id=2747434&forum_id=3189 ) so I thought may be I could find another
Arabic-authored solution as an alternative for fribidi; could any one help
me
about it?
Regards,
Salah Faya
