Re: About kernel-filesystem translation

Hello Imed,
I know that it would be much appreciated to translate the user-space programs in Arabic, but for me it would be much easier to translate something which I am working on currently. Most file systems documentation which I am referencing to do exist in any /user/src/`uname -r`/Documentation/filesystems path of any Linux tree, and as I mentioned previously I am limited to do this only because I am working under some strict time constraints. I hope you all will understand that.

By the way, I forgot to mention that, I am an Iraqi.

The kernel VFS layer strings (messages) have not been translated to
any language as far I can tell. Those are supposed to go into kernel
logs and should not be visible to end users. Actually, I don't think
that the kernel has any provisions for mutilingual support in the
sources.

The part that might require some work is the applications where
user-visible strings are: ls, mv, cp, etc. Typically, those are in
coreutils, util-linux, nfs-utils, samba-client and the like.

Let us know what you think.
