I'm rather surprised that I didn't see a slew of people taking you up on
this offer.  Is there NO translation project out there in need of help ???

I think people are looking to be assigned something concrete with a
deliverable instead of being given an area to go wonder in.  In other
words, let's please give people tangible tasks to do instead of them
having to look into various things to make a decision on what _they_
want to do.  Although that might sound bad, but the point is if someone
wants to work on something specific (be it Gnome, KDE, OOo) they can
flat out request that and it will be accommodated but for the more common
"I'm here to help, what now" people the former statements seem more
relevant.

I realize that we see ALOOOOOOT of people that talk-talk-talk and don't
do a lick of work, but when someone such as Mr. Al-Otaibi starts off with
a completed set of work and then chimes in with "how can I help" I would
expect people to take him more seriously than alot of the riff-raff we
tend to see (we have in excess of 500+ registered users of whom only about
10-15 are active -- so that's what I'm talking about and no I haven't gone
fully insane yet :-)

Again, Arafat we are waiting for you to comment so that we know what to do
with Gimp overall.  Is Gimp folded into the Gnome tree [1] (search for
Gimp on the link noted) or should it be its own separate project ?
