LAM-ALEF is simply LAM (0x0644) + ALEF (0x0623||0x0627||0x0622||0x0625)

The problem is that the lam-alef glyph under GNU/Linux is being inserted as a presentation form
not as 2 separate characters: 0x000fef7 || 0x000fefb || 0x000fef5 || 0x000fef9

I can provide more help if you can attach some samples ?
