Well, I remember a few years ago, The xfree86 guys refused this so the solution
was to map the key to the unicode presentation form. The problem with this is that
when you convert a utf8 encoded file containing this presentation form to say cp1256
iconv will complain about an illegal byte sequence.

I have no idea about the xorg guys. Maybe we need someone to contact them ?
