salam,
yesterday the 1st install party took place in the INSAT institute in tunisia.
I was there, students were the most attendies, there were some private participants who brought their pcs and labtops to install linux on them.
LIBERTYSOFT insat's free software student club, INSATECH insat's NTIC student club with participation of ATU2L (tunisian free software users group )
distributions presented were (I saw):
Redhat, fedora,Mandrake, arabbix, freeduc.
many topics were discussed around the stands: developpement on linux, multimedia on linux, linux administration, office tasks on linux (openoffice..), kernel compilation..
some stallman's talks and freesoft pub have been all along played with videoshow..
some conferences took place about several topics.
I asked the libertysoft team to post here some feedback about the event,
