Hello all:
We are in need for people to test putty on Windows 95, 98, and ME to
make sure that it can properly render Arabic text on UNIX and linux
boxes due to the lack of Unicode support in these versions of Windows.
You can find putty at:
http://www.toomuchcookies.net/~arabeyes/putty-6.6.ex
In order to properly test the bidi on this please put this file into
your Unix/Linux box and try and use "less, more and cat" to see it. the
file is at:
http://www.arabeyes.org/~nadim/ar_utf8
Make sure that you don't alter the encoding of the files. when you copy
the file to your UNIX box, simply type "file ar_utf8" and the output
should say it is a utf-8 text file.
Please report the results as soon as possible.
Got questions, don't hesitate to ask
Salam
Anmar
