Hello all,

Salam,

King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology - Saudi Arabia
released last week a pack of GPL'd Arabic fonts. It is available at

   http://www.linux.org.sa/download/download.html

Thanks. It's very great work. The bold typeface for the kacstbook font in
next time? :)
I tested them under linux-mandrake: that is working fine with
OpenOffice.org but they don't work with koffice.

I have been trying to get openoffice work in Arabic without success
(under linux) could you please give me a hint as how you made it?

 Try this:

Thanks. I did once download from the mentioned URL http://www.iglu.org.il/iglu.org.il/pub/Hebrew/OpenOffice/. I did succeed to install, but all words in the menus and messages were from left to right. You can imagine how impossible it is to read it. Once I asked the question in openoffice.org users mail list, and I was told that the work was even not done because of the complexity of rendering the text from right to left and they did not seem to be working on it at the time (about two months ago). As it did not work I just deleted the huge 57MB file. Then I have tried to download from the URL but it has almost been impossible, as the download speed has been so low (less than 1kb/s.
Will be thankful if you have any suggestions.
Thanks
Ibrahim
