Thoughts - what next..

Here are my thoughts on happenings:

 1. New webpage, maillists, action-plans [status ?]
    a. once completed, invite hords of people to participate
 2. Assemble/gather _ALL_ the arabic software out there.
    a. Incorporate "automake/configure & help/README" and hang it of off
aunyx.org's CVS (yup, ALL as in _everything_ -- we should get the
authors' approval to do that of course, ArabTex, etc)
    b. make sure software compiles and functions on various platforms
(solaris, linux, freebsd, etc) without any funny includes, etc --
things ought to work out of the box (so anyone can run it without a
       hitch - newbies)
 3. Potential projects for Arabizing,
     a. emacs (started & pending new code)
     b. vim-6 (www.vim.org -- they say it should be simple, hebrew already
                 done)
     c. rxvt (??)
     d. xterm (axterm exists, know nothing about it -- can we come up with
code that we could ask the maintainers of xterm proper to
incorporate into their code, as far as I remember xterm has
                 multibyte support)
     e. mailor (pick some mailor tool (mutt, pine ?))
     f. aspell (gotta be able to spell-check somehow)
     g. mozilla (work is being done, might need some more shaking of the cage)
     h. Gnome (know nothing about it)
     j. KDE (some guys already did this - is it incorporated into their
main branch ? if not, why not ?)

I can certainly help on 2 and 2b as well as any 3 project given a focus on
something particular.

Come to think of it, I will start with 2b on Akka - it didn't compile for
me on solaris (I haven't tried linux).

Please feel free to add-to/modify the list as you please -- this list or
something similar needs to be listed on aunyx.org (or new site) for direction.
