position-independent glyphs [was Re: arabic-linux]

Chahine, having looked at the "default" font for Akka (since you'd mentioned
you had these position-independent glyphs); is there anyway of getting these
fonts converted over to .pcf or .bdf -- .fnt is an old DOS format (from what
I read); the only tool that I've been able to find that would do anything
with it is 'fnt2bdf' which must be run under 'wine'.

Is there anyone out there that is running 'wine' (windows emulation under
linux) that might consider simply running,

  fnt2bdf chahine_fonts.fnt > new_fonts.bdf

If so, please let me know, I'll supply the .fnt file is you don't have it.
