Actually they do work if you use Internet Explorer. Interesting that
something like this would get posted on a *nix centric mailing list.
Basically the pics all say "arabic text isn't displayed on those
little fancy "tool tips"(I'm not a KDE user, don't know if there is
another term for this) that show up when the mouse overs over icons
like home, date, konqueror...etc"
They say KDE4 will be more efficient and demand less recources, if
that's true there hardly even is a need to backport the fix... only my
2 cents
