Hmm... I think the author is right. Having this option will simply change:

EnglishWord1 ArabicWord2 ArabicWord1

to

                                 EnglishWord1 ArabicWord2 ArabicWord1
 
The best would be to have:

                                  ArabicWord2 ArabicWord1 EnglishWord1 

This, I think, can only be done via Unicode control chars. So maybe
the best way would be the ability to insert them easily (in QT, KDE or
KBabel ?). Something that you can obviously do in gtranslator (and if
I'm not mistaken, in all GTK TextEdits via a right click)...

Would probably be a good idea when you have only english text and thus
don't need to change the text direction but only the alignement. But
this should be a preference thing and thus configurable even for an
RTL language.
