Re: gnome 2.8 work

Salam,

This page:

http://l10n-status.gnome.org/gnome-2.8/essential.html

tells you what we need. This is the absolute essential stuff. In other words,
only the desktop and developer-libs subtrees need to be finished for us to have
inclusion. We are at 75% currently but I'm sure once Arafat does a sync back to
Gnome once more we will climb over 80%.

Currently there are I think 24 strings in developer-libs not finished. I advise
you take care of those _immediately_ and before anything else.

Our deadline is September 15th I think. We were reeeeeally hoping to finish by
August 30th so we can have Arabic included in the release candidate 1. Well,
that didnt happen :) I don't really know if we can finish the things we want to
finish by the 15th, but don't forget there's always 2.9 and 2.10 :)

What I can't understand is, some files appear as finished on my desktop, but
when I upload them the script shows them as unfinished:

http://www.arabeyes.org/misc/gnome_status_bar.html

gnome-netsatus for example under desktop. I checked for errors and the only
errors I got was that some translations contained English. But this was not
true, one string was just an asterisk which I copied as is. How can we rectify
this? Arafat? Anyone?
