Al-Katib experiments

I have been experimenting with Al-Katib lately, and here are the following
problems I have encountered:

1. The latin character 'b' seems to have no corresponding Arabic character.
2. The Arabic letter 'teh' (or ta') changes to the letter 'beh' (or ba') once
it is connected to any other character.
3. When you have 'alef' and 'lam' and want to add an 'alef' to them, it turns
into a 'lam alef' (as in, 'LA') instead of ('ALA').

I am not sure if this is related to Qt or the keyboard mapping, but
some of them are definitely related to the xkb file.

I wonder if anyone else has been trying to play with it. So far, this is our
best bet at a text editor (that will compile on Linux and FreeBSD so far). It
requries a little modification for FreeBSD, but it works.

I'm currently writing a mini-HOWTO on installing it and making it work, and
will create a binary distribution (with a statically linked Qt library) of it.

Any thoughts?
