Re: [developers] Fwd: Hilali-Khan translation for Zekr is Done!

I said that, because:
1) It is reported to be the most popular and "Now the most widely disseminated Qur'an in most Islamic bookstores and Sunni mosques throughout the English-speaking world"
2) It was published by the King Fahd Printing Complex, Madinah, Saudi Arabia
3) For me, the most trusted translation for the Noble Quran

Why would you use this translation?

It is very bad

Assalamo alaykom wa rahmato Allah wa barakatoh,

In this link http://groups.google.com/group/zekr/web/hilali-khan.trans.zip you will find the translation pack for Zekr of the Hilali-Khan translation of The Noble Qur'an. It is reported to be the most popular and "Now the most widely disseminated Qur'an in most Islamic bookstores and Sunni mosques throughout the English-speaking world".

I hope that this translation (since it is approved by the King Fahd Printing Complex, Madinah, Saudi Arabia), that this translation will be introduced into the next releases of Zekr, ubuntuME, Thwab, and The Quran project of Arabeyes, and of corse into Othman when brother Muayyad AlSadi finish it.

I build this pack using this document http://saaid.net/book/open.php?cat=92&book=935 from one of the most trusted Islamic Web sites.

Assalamo alaykom
