Putty Testers please...

umm, i wrote this email, then thought... hey, there is some work left.. so y test it now...?? i'll postpone it for later...

but, if any one is interested here it is...

// Original Mail starts here------
anyone want to test PuTTy..??
it doesnt take much, just Win2000 or WinXP...

download the file from this link, and rename it
from putty3.bin to putty3.exe ... i had to use the .bin extension
because geocities wouldnt allow me to upload .exe files...

http://www.geocities.com/ahmadkhalifa83/putty/putty3.bin

OK, so you downloaded the file and are ready to test :))

if you dont have an account to use putty for what its supposed to
be used for (im not sure what that is.. :)) ).. just use the following
settings in the 'PuTTY Configuration' Dialog that comes up first...
+ Session
Hostname: localhost
Port: 80
Protocol: Raw

+ Window/ Translation
Received Data Assumed.....: UTF-8

you'll get an error message after a while, but you can continue typing...
just type arabic stuff...

here is what you should be looking for...

+ shaping is done as you type, without a need for redraw...
+ when you force a redraw (i.e minimize and maximize) the words should
appear L to R BUT, the letters should be from R to L.. (i.e the word's
letters are simply flipped to look nice for now...)
+ No Bidi is done...
+ LAA (Lam-Alef) are not correctly shaped...(i have located the problem)
+ typing the key LAA (i.e the Key that has 'B' on it, on most KBs) outputs
  two letters..

ak...
