Urdu typing support in knoppix

salam....i am an undergraduate student from Pakistan and i would like to 
know how to put urdu typing support in applications like open office , kedit 
etc in knoppix . Urdu is a language much like arabic so if any of u know 
about this plz reply . I just know i may have to modify millions of lines of 
code for this since every application has its own font rendering engine , 
for example open office uses Pango font rendering engine and for open office 
to support urdu i will have to modify the code in pango . If any of u have 
any idea regarding this plz reply
