static linking

hi

did any one tried to compile a qt program using static library ??

i am trying to do that but i got tooooooooo many " undefined refrences "
most of them from X and libpng , but i have every thing installed for the
static linking
i have qt-static , libpng-static and all the X static libraries installed
and added them in the extra libraries in KDevelop project options
but i still get these errors.
