For the few that had complained about Arabic mutt support (with UTF-8);
here is what you need to do,
- Compile mutt-1.4+ with UTF-8 support (if that doesn't work for you
out of the box, try the --enable-locales-fix and --without-wc-funcs
options; read the INSTALL file for further details)
- Set a UTF-8 locale with either of these sample settings,
% unsetenv LC_ALL
% setenv LC_CTYPE en_US.UTF-8
-or-
% setenv LC_ALL en_US.UTF-8
If you don't have a UTF-8 locale (ie. 'locale -a | grep -i utf'
produces nothing), look into the 'localedef' command (either
get 'glibc-2.2+' or do it yourself -- google is your friend :-)
- Make sure that the message you are trying to read (ie. in your
mbox file) is with "Content-Type" or "charset=utf-8"
- Lastly, and this goes without saying, make sure you invoke and
use mutt within mlterm :-)
- You should now be able to do everything you are used to in terms
of email using Arabic UTF-8.
As noted on previous posts, any application that supports UTF-8 will
support Arabic on mlterm (if you find something cool you can do that
might benefit others on the list, make sure to share)

Enjoy & Salam...
