Ah.. yeah, that is cause it assumes you have a ~/.my.cnf file with the
user/pass defined already. I placed one for 'arabeyes' user (assuming
the cron job is run as 'arabeyes'). Take a look at it.

If the /var dir is being backed-up, then the lists are being backed
(mailman stores the raw mbox files there). 

But add other things as you see fit.
