Isam, I can see a big headache coming out of this. He notes that they will be using MS-Word and machine translations. This is going to be problematic. I think it is extremely important to stress the need to use KBabel in their translation work. If need be, we will help them set it up on their machines with whatever help they may need. The important thing is that they use KBabel. Not only will we have to deal with syntactical problems, the "rough" translation as you very well know will save them the time that they think they will save by doing machine translations (ie. Ajeeb, Waffai). It's one thing that they are a Linux consultancy group and offer Linux courses, and another to setup Arabic on their linux machines to get translators to work on it. I think KDE is easy enough to guide through so they can do it that way. Otherwise, I really think this will create more work to fix errors than work to produce translations. later -- ------------------------------------------------------- | Mohammed Elzubeir | Visit us at: | | | http://www.arabeyes.org/ | | Arabeyes Project | Homepage: | | Unix the 'right' way | http://fakkir.net/~elzubeir/| ------------------------------------------------------- --- Was I helpful?
