Great ! Good work :-)

What we need now is to have it running on the server ASAP... It's really a 
matter of having a tin,y page with a 'Hello world!' string translated (under 
your home directory for example, not on the Arabeyes.org frontpage...). If 
this succeeds we should simply wrap all the existing strings all over the PHP 
pages.

I am not sure what kind of tests are involved here ?
