نسخة Xara Linux Xtreme تحت اتفاقية جنو

هذا الأسلوب متبع في شركة NOVELL فهناك مشروع SuSE Linux التجاري و
openSUSE الفتوح المصدر  و الذي يستعمل اتفاقية جنو
شركة Xara لا تزال تبيع نسخ تجارية على ويندوز أما في لينكس فتركت للمستخدم
حرية الاختيار فاما أن يستعمل المشروع تحت اتفاقية GPL أو التجارية
