Re: Need help with rendering bug

Hi. Let me summarize.

1. On the Firefox rendering engine.
Firefox (and probably thunderbird) uses an original rendering engine.
Konqueror uses Qt, gedit and katoob use pango. Such common libraries
of latest version supports the Arabic script quite well, not
perfectly though. I don't know the OpenOffice renderer's origin, but
it's good, as everyone knows.

2. Firefox vowel marks and fonts.
For many fonts, firefox disconnects Arabic letters at vowel marks.

Only exceptional free fonts which are shown correctly I know are
* mry_KacstQurn and DejaVu *.

Other problems I believe are font-independent. The situation has not
changed from firefox 1.0 through firefox-2.0 beta.

# Firefox 2.0 seems to be a direct successor of 1.5, so I didn't
# expect improvements for it. There may be a chance for 3.0 which
# branches deeply.

Oh, from firefox-1.5, bidi properties for text input area can be set.
