I highly suggest that you not only suggest these things but also enter
them into their bug-tracker [1] so that these issues get addressed and
are known to the upstream developers. If there are any bugs in _any_
application we need to be the first to yell and scream (via entering
various bug reports) what is wrong and the proper functionality should
be noted (short of fixing it ourselves given the proper acumen).

To see those "byte indicators" (I believe I was in XP when this happened
using 1.5.0.7) simply enter a URL followed by an arabic string and you'll
see it get transformed once the page is downloaded for some reason. Go
to our Wiki page [2] and click on the Arabic Page link (Al-Safa7a
Al-Ra'isiya) and note the URL's content.

Don't forget - do please report these bugs and everything else you
(and everyone else) comes across.

BTW: While on the topic we need someone to take charge of an _extremely_
important wiki page - the OpenBugs [3] page. Any takers ?
