For example, french had not done any innovation, they kept the same english 
configuration, Ctrl+A is "select all" in azerty, they didn't choose Ctrl+T 
for "Sélectionner tout" . It's a matter of usability and minimal efforts to 
solve the problem. 
As you can see, most shorcuts in english are in the left side, a Ctrl+Kaf that  
stands for Select all ,  will make an frequent action very hard.
In addition, we should do the same as in arabic Mac OS and Windows. I don't 
use it, so I don't know what they did. 
I think that "having some 'weird' shortcuts like ctrl+ؤ " will make the arabic 
desktop more usable and will avoid us academic researches.
