Re: Excuses

السلام عليكم

Mandriva website's translation files aren't PO(T) files, I manually translate PHP files  from another language ( French or English), my biggest problems are the style and productivity. Anyway, I am not against importing the files to CVS? I have to have Gaël's permission.

I agree here. It would be in the best interest of Mandriva's web translation
project to be in the same place as the actual distro's translation. Putting
it here on Arabeyes will have several benefits:

1. The website's translation can be made consistent with the distro's
translation in terms of vocab and style.

2. You stand the best chance of attracting new volunteers here.

3. We will be much more able to help you with any translation questions you
might have. You will be amazed at how skilled our more seasoned translators
are.

4. This is most important, if for some reason you can't continue with the
project, we here on Arabeyes will not leave it to rot.

So, Chahibi, I suggest you submit a bug report to http://bugs.arabeyes.org and
ask for a CVS account so you can start working with us. Until you get your
CVS account if you wish you may send the files to me and I will upload them
to our CVS repository, under mandrake/www.

Please think about it and tell us if your up for this :-)

Salam,

Abdulaziz,
