Not sure what that means. IF you are seeing boxes instead of Arabic letters
then your font is missing certain glyphs.

If it fits the meaning, yes. Again, please give examples.

Simply put, use common sense. If you translate $HOME to something in Arabic, 
it is obviously going to be useless. So, yes, environment variables and as
such, should be kept intact in their latin form.
