Rules suggestion

I would like to propose that all "major" decisions be taken by simple
vote on Arabeyes ('core' members).

Members of 'core' will decide what is worth a vote on and what isn't.
Major decisions might constitute, but are not limited to,

 + Money dispensation
 + Next projects to undertake
+ Inclusion of new 'core' individuals
 + Project partnership(s)/alignment with others
+ Anything that affects Arabeyes long-term

The vote will not be hastily done - everyone will put forth his/her
views and prioritizes (if any) according to his/her good conscious
keeping in mind what's best for Arabeyes into a list format. A person
will be assigned to undertake the "assembly" work; meaning that person
will assemble all the lists created into ONE bulleted list unpon which
a vote is taken after an optional short discussion (email is preferred)
all bounded by a specified time frame of course.

Rational behind this procedure:

To reduce the time and pain associated with making decisions; to focus
on the higher-level issues and NOT to delve too deeply into details
early on; to ensure "best idea/approach wins" and to solidify "Arabeyes'
continual welfare above all else".

Mohammed had noted wanting a "veto" option for such things that might
affect the site. He has noted that this "veto" will rarely, if ever,
be used and will only be utilized for Arabeyes' self-preservation (eg.
is someone came to us to buy the domain Arabeyes.org and we all agree
to sell it, Mohammed might invoke his veto then). So this veto ought
to be termed along the lines of "self-preservation veto" or
"non-suicidal veto" and will be used ONLY in those regards.

Salam.

 - Nadim
