Hi everyone,
We are discussing in the IRC channel whether to switch to GIT instead of
SVN.
GIT is not better or worse than SVN. But practically, developers seem more
comfortable to use it as was shown for ITL (
https://github.com/arabeyes-org/ITL), and from the many frequent demands.
I hope this will bring more developers to the Arabeyes, and make it easier
for projects to join Arabeyes.
Does anyone object to migrating the SVN repository to GIT?
Would it be okay if we decide on a date to freeze SVN for a day, move
everything to GIT, and kill SVN?
Are there any automated scripts that rely on synchronizing with Arabeyes'
SVN?
Kind regards,
Youssef
