I think it was just misphrased, we simply decided that drupal provides adequate resources for managing the translation project (cvs, issue tracker, release system, groups for discussion). so drupal 5 translation was done directly on the drupal infrastructure. now to clarify the state of drupal 6 translation, I'm involved in a couple of well funded drupal based projects and managed to channel some of these funds to paid translation work, I don't personally translate anymore but I coordinated the work of a few translators. I'm not using drupal 6 yet, and have no more funds but I'm willing to help coordinate volunteer translation work if it's needed. I still think hosting the project on drupal.org makes more sense, current drupal users and local companies working with drupal are more likely to check drupal.org than arabeyes.org. since there is interest in a Drupal 6 translation I merged the Drupal 5 translations with the new Drupal 6 pot templates and created a new DRUPAL-6--1 branch on the project's cvs and new development release should appear on http://drupal.org/project/ar soon. cheers, Alaa -- Alaa: Husband of the Grand Waragi Master http://www.manalaa.net
